Players also have the ability to upgrade their transportation (alongside their weapons and armor) as the game progresses.Ĭompared to some other games of this genre in the past, the game focuses more on ordinary everyday life. Although an overall map is available, players cannot “fast forward” their travel to these locations instead, they must take direct control of their transportation during the journey and respond to events that occur on the way. Given how many delays players have already had to weather, fingers crossed that the latest planned release date sometime in 2023 is more on the money.The game takes places across multiple locations with differing environmental conditions, including desert, snow, forest, mountains, swampland, and deep-sea diving. We've already seen the minimalist user interface, with players instead forced to study the environments and take clues from the visual appearance of the characters to work out if/when they need something. However, with a game like Little Devil Inside, the pull is all about that steampunk-inspired art style. Tried-and-tested RPG features such as harvesting, cooking food and chopping wood are all going to be instrumental in keeping a character alive, though Neostream have been quick to point out that this won't be a gruelling survival experience, but rather a game that emphasizes the journey players go on.
The semi-open world (navigated to and from via a tile-shifting world map) will feature a variety of different themes, but there is much more in store with Little Devil Inside than just its charming visuals.
The game will feature both single-player and multiplayer modes where players take control of explorers searching for monsters and supernatural occurrences in this 19th Century-inspired world.
